Master of Science in Natural Health Sciences, M.S

The University of Natural Medicine’s Masters of Science in Natural Health Sciences (M.S.) degree program is individually designed to enable each student to apply past academic studies toward a degree through our institution. The student has a choice in the program of either choosing 45 credit hours of curriculum or alternatively 30 credit hours of study and a 15 credit hour (15000 word) theses.

The total number of required credit hours is determined from the amount of incoming credit earned and advanced placement received. As required by our licensure any student will need to complete a minimum of 36 credit hours (20% of curriculum maximum can be waived) of study with the University of Natural Medicine to earn a masters degree. Incoming credit in the form of academic studies, trainings, and clinical training may apply toward advanced placement.

In the process of fulfilling any degree program with the University, a student can earn and accumulate various diplomas in a given modality or training, subject to the curriculum requirements. This provides the student with credentials and the opportunity to apply their knowledge while completing the degree requirements.

Courses taken in the process of studying for the Masters of Science of Natural Health Sciences degree may apply toward more advanced degree programs at the University — the Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Natural Medicine, Doctor of Integrative Medicine and the Doctor of Naturopathy — should the student decide to pursue graduate studies.
